and have existed since WoW's retail release.

Guild Philosophy: ~The purpose of MbN is to provide an environment for people to not only experience what World of Warcraft has to offer, but to do it in a way where everyone has fun doing it. Whether this is done through raiding, questing, or just being friends with each other, we are at our best when our members are having fun. When it comes to raid content, we are neither a hardcore nor casual guild, but rather something different, something uniquely MbN. We meet our goals with a serious air and with pride of our unique MbN-style strategies, but also never forget there are real people behind the pixels. GM History: ~MbN was founded by Luxanna shortly after WoW's release in the fall of 2004. After the guild built a solid membership, Maarek became the GM and lead MbN through some of its most challenging obstacles and enjoyable successes. ~In the fall of 2006, Maarek found that his goals in real life had taken such an exciting and time-consuming turn that it would require him to take a lesser role in the guild. News Headline: Raiding Feral Druid Starts Hunter Alt, Declares As New Main At Level 12

Slain, a regular raid member of the guild <In Ur Face>, is a level 70 feral druid. The guild has been highly successful in the World of Warcraft, dominating such dungeons as Black Temple and Caverns Of Time: The Battle At Mount Hyjal. They've made progress in the most recent dungeon, Sunwell, but have yet to complete it in its entirety.

Most of the membership of the guild is stationed in the state of Washington, and the core group of friends has led the guild to many successes in other MMORPGs, including Everquest and Star Wars: Galaxies.

Slain has been around since day one. He's played all the games with the same group of people, and states that he would "always pick the hybrid class. There's a great thing about hybrid classes - you can use a certain strategy to level it up really fast. It involves fooling the guild into thinking that you will be a great healing hybrid. They'll give you tons of support, money, and items. Then, once you hit the level cap, you switch over to the other side of the hybrid's spectrum and start beating the *** out of things."

But, there was something different about the druid.

"It wasn't fun enough," Slain commented. "I just didn't feel like I was cool. I have gotten lots of practice with different games, learning action rotations and maximizing my DPS output through stat, ability and item analysis; I therefore always maintained the top of the damage meter. But I couldn't help feeling the druid just lacked something."

Fatigued from raiding and getting close to burn-out, Slain decided to hold off on raiding for a while. Guild members say he once reported in guild chat that he wanted to take a break from the whole game. "No *** way," laughed Undine, a priest guild mate. "He's got no life. I knew right when he said that that he'd be back later on that day."

And right Undine was, to an extent. Slain had logged in as a different character (Slayn) later in the afternoon. The difference was that this character was a hunter instead of a druid. It was that same evening, 4 hours later, that Slayn stated in guild chat:

"I hereby declare this as my new main. My druid has officially retired."

Knowing that he couldn't use his fooling-the-guild technique into helping him build up his character, Slayn didn't care. "Dude, the world of MMORPGs has completely changed. I had no idea what I was doing. *** my guild - they don't have to help me. I'd rather just own everything by myself on this character anyway."

Theoden, the guild master, was initially outraged at the idea of losing one of their top-of-the-meter melee DPS members. A lot of time and effort had gone into Slain. "We were throwing away a lot of time and effort with Slain switching mains," he said during a press conference in Seattle the following day. "We'd really made it a guild-wide effort to build him to the max because he's always been THAT good. I was really pissed off when he spat in our faces." However, it wasn't long before Theoden came around to the idea. "After very brief meditating, it made sense," he continued. "Yes, I did see the video of 40 hunters killing Ragnaros. It's a no-brainer that I'll ensure the guild supports Slayn in any way he needs."

Slayn stated that he'd always wanted to do or be something great. "I always wanted to be looked up to; to be a role model and to have people envy how cool I was. My dream will finally come true when this character caps out at 70 and I can start raiding again." -Adam Grise
